Culver City has been home to a number of television and movie studios since the 1920s, including MGM and Sony Pictures, and the cast of "The Wizard of Oz" stayed in one its historic hotels during filming. Today its downtown area has a vibrant shopping and dining scene within easy walking distance from homes and apartments. It's also home to a light rail station that can get you downtown in 40 minutes.
